Charge Controllers

What does a charge controller do? There are two types of charge controllers, PWM and MPPT.

The main function of a PWM charge controller is to control the voltage coming in from the panels to protect your battery from overcharge and block a reverse current.

A MPPT charge controller can send control signals to panel aiming systems to keep the panels at full output as the sun tracks across the sky.
